Michelle Yeoh weds ex-Ferrari CEO Jean Todt after 19-year engagement

Michelle Yeoh has tied the knot with her longtime partner Jean Todt following a 19-year engagement.

Yeoh, who made history in March as the first Asian woman to win an Oscar, said “I do” in a quaint ceremony in Geneva, Switzerland on Thursday.

The “Everything Everywhere All At Once” actress, 60, and Todt, who is the former CEO of Ferrari, beamed from ear to ear as they shared their special day with a handful of close pals, including Brazilian racing driver Felipe Massa.

Massa posted pictures on Instagram from the big day, writing, “Happy marriage #JeanTodt & #michelleyeoh love you so much ❤️❤️.”

The first snap showed the pair’s wedding card, which featured sweet details of their love story.

“We met in Shanghai on 4th June 2004. On 26th July 2004, J.T proposed to marry M.Y and she said YES,” the card reads.

“Today after 6992 days on 27th July 2023 in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, We are so happy to celebrate this special moment together.”

Yeoh’s Academy Award was also a welcome guest at the couple’s nuptials as snaps show the actress smiling as she hugged her new husband while the gong sat on the table in front of them.

Yeoh wore two outfits on the big day, including a beige-town gown with a corset bodice complete with gold detailing and a bridal white skirt with a white silk button-up shirt.

Todt opted for a navy suit for the special occasion.

Massa also shared a photo of the sweet moment the pair said “I do” and signed their wedding certificate.

Yeoh first met Todt in Shanghai, China, and told the Financial Times that meeting her hubby was “like a fairytale.”

Todt, who helped lead Ferrari to victory in multiple world championships before becoming the FIA president until 2021, previously revealed that Michael Schumacher helped him send his first-ever text to Yeoh.

“I don’t use a computer. I don’t know how to. My maximum is SMS. I wanted to communicate with my wife, in fact,” he said in 2014.

“So I spoke to Michael Schumacher. We were together. He said send an SMS. I said I don’t know how to send one. So he was the one who taught me.”

Yeoh was previously married to Hong Kong businessman Dickson Poon from 1988 until 1991.
